Lake swimming is a short drive north to Eguzon where water-skiing, boating and associated activities are available. Canoeing is also on offer at the Hotel du Lac in Crozant.
One of my favourite places is the wolf sanctuary near Gueret. It really is a must. There are farm animals there too.
Over at Boussac is a fantastic looking tree-top playground with flying foxes and other active adventures can be enjoyed.
There are many excellent walks around the area which take in just some of the beautiful scenery.
I know very little about fishing but what I do know is that Creuse is considered a very excellent place in which to do it! Whether it’s lake fishing or fly-fishing I’m told you’ll not be disappointed. Permits of many different kinds are generally available near fishing areas I believe, whether for a day or longer. The region is well-policed by wardens and it is inexpensive to buy a permit and do the right thing.
Hopefully, soon we’ll have at least a couple of bicycles for use by guests.
